​How does the game work?
On the day of your quest, you arrive at your selected time slot to meet our first character at the location we have provided in your confirmation email. Here they will provide you and your team the guidelines on your quest and how to use the mobile app to guide your journey.

How long is each Quest?
Each quest is designed to be completed within 1 - 2 hours. Because there are many items and side quest challenges you can find and explore, It is really up to you and your team to decide how long you would like to extend your journey.​
What happens if we get stuck or can't complete a clue?
We have carefully designed each quest so you can decide how challenging you would like it to be.
While some sections of the quest may require a code or password to access the next section of the quest, we have also provided options on the mobile app to choose an easier and more direct route.

What is Slow Gaming?
We are proud that you and your team are rewarded for how curious, focussed and attentive you can be on your quest. You receive more points by finding hidden items and completing some of the more challenging riddles. No one will find themselves at the top of the leader board by trying to rush through the game. This also allows you to stop off in the middle of your quest at a tavern of your choice.​

What happens if it rains
The magic doesn’t stop for a bit of drizzle! Whimsical Quest is an all-weather outdoor experience, and the event will proceed if it rains. True wizards don't melt in the rain, but your smartphones might—so we highly recommend checking the forecast, dressing in cozy waterproof layers, and bringing along an umbrella to protect your mobile digital Codex.
Note: In the highly exceptional circumstance of extreme, unsafe weather conditions (such as severe weather warnings or dangerous storms), the Guild will cancel the slot for safety. If this happens, we will contact you directly via email before your start time to issue a full refund or reschedule your journey.
